This perfect brandy manhattan recipe is a variation of a classic. Use brandy and both sweet and dry vermouths for a "perfect" brandy cocktail.

Brandy Manhattan Ingredients

In an old fashioned, the liquor is sweetened with a sugar cube or syrup. In the classic manhattan, it's sweetened with sweet vermouth.

Whiskey is made from fermented grains. Brandy is distilled liquor from grapes or other fruit (eg apples for Calvados or cherries). Armagnac, grappa, and pisco are brandies.
