I’m going to share a secret with you. It’s how to cook a cavatappi mac and cheese to get a heavenly, gooey mac and cheese with a crispy  browned top.

What's the best cheese for mac and cheese? The one you love.  Use a mix of cheddar, Parmesan, and other cheese like brie or feta to make a 3, 4, or even 5 cheese mac and cheese.

Tips and tricks To make the cheese sauce, you first heat butter and flour. Then add the milk and cream and cook until thick. Add the cheese and stir til smooth and creamy!

Tips and tricks This same cheese sauce can be used to sub cauliflower for the pasta in this recipe.

The secret is to bring it all together warm, put it in a pan, and use the broiler for a short time to keep it gooey but get that crispy brown top.
