- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup blackberries fresh or frozen
Blackberry simple syrup
Combine the sugar and water in a small pot over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar has dissolved in the water. Do not let boil.

Add the blackberries and cook for a minute or so. Turn off the heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
Strain the syrup into a clean glass jar.
